Alliance High School Activities Report March 3-8

HIGHLIGHTS LAST WEEK

Alliance High School competed in their first-ever HOSA-Future Health Professionals competition today at Districts in Scottsbluff!

There were over 135 Panhandle HOSA members present.

Sivia Acosta placed 1st in her skill- “Nurse Assisting.”

Maci Cornish finished tied for 4th in the general online testing portion (with Breanna Meggison close behind).

All 3 HOSA members will compete at the HOSA State Leadership Conference in Omaha from March 9th-11th.

Congratulations to our Skills USA welding fabrication team, Carson Thomas, Will Nollette, and Ashley Carr qualified for the State Conference.

Alliance finished as runners up in the class A/B sweepstakes

Kaden Gasseling – 1st humorous prose, 4th entertainment honors

Emily McCune – 3rd extemporaneous finals, 4th informative finals

Alya Foster – 5th informative finals

Chile Potmesil – 6th extemporaneous finals

Ryleigh Mashburn – 4th entertainment finals, 6th persuasive finals

Brylee Rasmussen – 4th serious prose honors, 3rd informative honors

ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK

M 3-3 1st day of spring sports practice (boys golf, girls tennis, and track & field)

T 3-4 second grade music concert – 7:00 pm in the PAC

W 3-5 FFA district CDE at Kimball

F 3-7 last day of third quarter

Sat 3-8 speech meet at Mitchell
