An Alliance man is in court for two separate cases involving drugs, in which he faces felony charges.
Frankie Buresh, 61, of Alliance is charged with possession of methamphetamine 10-27 grams, a class 1D felony, in the first case, and in the second case, he is charged with five counts of distribution of methamphetamine, each a class 2 felony.
According to the Affidavit for Custody filed in the first case, on April 24, law enforcement officers served a search warrant at a residence in the 600 block of Niobrara Avenue. During the search, investigators located a glass pipe with a white residue in a bedroom. The residue field tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.
“Also located within the same bedroom, was a small black case containing four separate Ziploc style baggies containing a white crystalline substance, known from training and experience to resemble that of methamphetamine,” the Affidavit stated. “Approximate total weight of all four of these bags combined totaled approximately sixteen grams.”
The search also yielded numerous other small Ziploc style baggies and a small digital scale. Buresh was placed under arrest and transported to the Box Butte County Jail. The case was filed in the Box Butte County Court on May 24.
The second case against Buresh stems from a time period ranging from August 2022 through April of 2023. The complaint filed against Buresh in the case claims that Buresh distributed methamphetamine on Aug. 9, 2022, Oct. 2, 2022, Oct. 18, 2022, Oct. 19, 2022, and on April 20, 2023. The case was filed with the Box Butte County Court on May 26.
