An Alliance man was bound over to Box Butte County District Court, where he is expected to be arraigned on seven felony counts.
Angello Warfield, 28, of Alliance, is charged with one count of manufacturing child pornography, a class 1D felony, and six counts of possession of child pornography, each a class 2A felony. The 1D felony charge carries with it a minimum penalty of three years in prison, with a maximum of 50 years, and the 2A felony charges carry with them no minimum penalty and a maximum penalty of 20 years for each count.
The complaint filed against Warfield show that the charges arise from a four month period beginning in December 2021 and ending in March 2022 and involve a juvenile who was 15 years old at the time. An arrest warrant was issued on May 22, 2023 and was returned on May 24, 2023. A special prosecutor was appointed to handle the case. Warfield is expected to appear in Box Butte County District Court on Wednesday.
