On Dec. 22 at approximately 8:05 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Hwy 26 and 21st Avenue intersection in Scotts Bluff in reference to an injury accident.
After conducting the investigation and speaking to witnesses, it was determined a green 2003 Chevrolet Malibu driven by 25 year old Jordan Houser, an Alliance resident, was west bound on Hwy 26.
A black 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup driven by Tyler Frickey, a 26 year old Gering resident, was facing south and entered the intersection to turn east onto Hwy 26 from 21st Avenue. Houser in the 2003 Malibu violated the traffic control device controlling the intersection and collided with Frickey’s 2007 Dodge.
All four occupants of the Malibu were transported to Regional West Medical Center for treatment including two children ages two and six months old. The two year old was not restrained at the time of the collision. The six month old was restrained in a rear facing child safety seat. Houser was cited for violation of a Traffic Control Device.
