The American Legion Post 7, American Legion Auxiliary, American Legion Riders, Sons of the American Legion, VFW, DAR, AVFD, Eagles Club, area Veterans and many others will be gathering (weather permitting) at the Veterans Memorial on the grounds of the Box Butte County Courthouse in Alliance, Nebraska on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27 at 10:00 am to honor the memory of our fallen warriors. Remembering those who have given everything for their country.
This day is a reminder that in each generation, brave men and women will be needed to step forward to take the oath of allegiance as members of America’s armed forces willing to fight, and if necessary to die for the sake of freedom
Americans know that freedom isn’t free. It’s only possible because the fallen heroes have paid its high price. A price paid which enables such ceremonies and observances like this Memorial Day celebration to be held in communities across this great country.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend as part of this ceremony honoring our fallen warriors.
