Both the Alliance Middle School Bulldog football teams were in action on Saturday. The seventh grade squad hosted the Red Raiders while the 8th grade team traveled to Sidney. And in both contests the Dogs shut out the Raiders. AMS won the seventh grade game 32 to 0 and they were victorious in the fifth period B game 18 to 0. Down in Sidney the 8th graders raced to a big margin and went on the win 38 to 0.
Alliance continued its big morning by winning the fifth quarter b game 8 to 0. With the wins, the seventh graders now see their record improve to 1 and 2 while the 8th graders remain undefeated at 3 and 0.
In the seventh grade ball game AMS received the ball first and quickly went on the offensive. Big gains by running back Israel Garcia and quarterback Cisco Cody got AMS close. A Sidney interception would end the drive and the quarter with the score tied at 0. The Bulldog defense remained solid in the second forcing a punt. The sweet return by Alliance’s Cormic Stark gave AMS the ball at the 40. From there it was Garcia scoring the game’s first point. Cody add the pat and 5:37 left in the half AMS led 8 to 0.
Sidney would fumble and their next series and again the Bulldogs went on the march. Nice runs by Casyn Nelson put the ball inside the ten. Garcia garnered his second td, this time from the one yard line. The extra point was good by Garcia and the half came to a close with Alliance up 16 0.
Bulldog D came up big in the third. Tackles by Garcia, Remi Turman helped keep Sidney from gaining a first down. A fumble recovery by AMS’s James Scriven setup Garcia’s third touchdown, this one coming from the 32 yard line.
The pat was good on a run by Nelson. Another Red Raiders fumble set Alliance up for their next score. A pass from Cody to Nelson that netted 11 yards and put the ball inside the 10. Garcia would then tallying his 4 score, marching in from the 8 yard line. Scriven add the pat and the period ended with AMS leading 32 to 0. Defensive gems by Grayson Dibrito and Kylar Adams help AMS keep the Raiders off the scoreboard. Final AMS 32 Sidney 0

Alliance’s would their dominance in the 8 minute b game. Wyatt Hardey began the scoring for the Dogs as he raced 80 yards for a score on the game’s first play. The point after was no good. Strong defensive plays by Corbin Benigno, Adams, and James Beals helped AMS preserve the shut out. A 19 touchdown by Hardey gave the Bulldogs the lead at 12 to 0. The game to a close with Tripp Johnson hitting Adams for a 15 yard touchdown strike. AMS 18 Sidney 0
The eighth graders jumped to an early lead in Sidney and never trailed. As with the 7th graders the AMS defense in the 8th grade was stout. The Bulldogs raced to a 30 to 0 halftime lead and went on for the win 38 to 0. AMS also shut out the Raiders in the b game. The final in the fifth quarter contest AMS 8 Sidney 0
Next action for the Dogs will be Saturday, September 30 when Gordon-Rushville comes to town. Kickoff is set for 9:00.
