The annual Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Montrose will be celebrated on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. The historic church was built by pioneer families in 1887.
There will be a carry-in picnic after Mass. Hamburgers will be served and water, tea and lemonade will be available. Table service will be provided.
The church is northeast of Harrison. To visit the church, drive north of Harrison about 16 miles on Monroe Canyon and Edgemont Roads. Turn east on Montrose Road and travel eight miles east to the church.
From Crawford, drive north on Toadstool Park Road almost to Ardmore, S.D., about 28 miles. Then turn west on Hat Creek Road, and continue west and south about 12 miles to the church.
