The Alliance Police Department responded quickly to the report of a home invasion, that resulted in one person being killed. APD Chief David Leavitt released the following statement Wednesday morning:
“This morning, at 2:24 a.m., police received a call from James Haller at 101 S. Flack Ave that he had just shot an intruder who had forcibly entered his home. The suspect, Jerome Robb, who has a history of burglary was pronounced dead at the scene. Although the investigation is ongoing, evidence on the scene is consistent with the description of events provided by Mr. Haller. The deceased was transported for a routine autopsy by authority of the coroner. The case will be reviewed by the district attorney; however no charges have been recommended against Mr. Haller at this time.”
