APD Responds to Stabbing on Potash Avenue

A man is listed in stable condition after being flown to Scottsbluff to be treated for injuries that resulted from a stabbing in Alliance.

On July 13, officers with the Alliance Police Department responded to the report of a man who was stabbed in the 400 block of Potash Avenue. The response came at approximately 5:55 p.m.

“Officers arrived and rendered aid as well as detained a female who was his wife and also had injuries,” said Alliance Police Chief Philip Lukens. “They both were transported to the hospital. She was released with minor injuries. He was flown to Scottsbluff and is now listed in stable condition.”

The woman was transported to jail and charges are pending in the matter. Lukens said mental health condition appears to be a factor in the incident. He explained that the investigation remains ongoing.
