As 2020 comes to a close, the Alliance Times-Herald is looking for nominations for the 2020 person of the year to celebrate the people who make Box Butte County the best place to call home.
“There are so many positive stories of people helping other people in the community, and the Person of the Year Award is a way to recognize those people for their work to bring out the best in the community,” said Shaun Friedrichsen, Alliance Times-Herald Director of Operations. “We are excited to share their stories with the community.”
Nomination forms may be found on Page A2. Those wishing to nominate people are asked to bring in a completed nomination form and a photo of the nominee to the Alliance Times-Herald office, located at 114 E 4th St., or email them to athnewsdirector@gmail.com. Nominations must contain at least 250 words, and must be submitted by noon on Dec. 23.
The Alliance Times-Herald will recognize the 2020 Person of the Year in the Dec. 30 edition of the Alliance Times-Herald. All other nominees will be recognized in that issue of the Alliance Times-Herald as well.
Last year, Kathy Worley was recognized as the Person of the Year for her work at Keep Alliance Beautiful and her dedication to the community.
