SCOTTSBLUFF—On Monday, Aug. 8 at 8:22 a.m., a Scottsbluff Police Officer attempted to stop a vehicle because he suspected that there was a person with an arrest warrant inside.
The vehicle fled from the officer and the pursuit was discontinued. A short time later Scottsbluff Police received a report that the vehicle had become stuck in a ditch near the intersection of East 20TH Street and 25TH Ave.
A search was made of the area and a man was located that claimed he was a passenger in the vehicle. No other suspects were located.
Investigation is continuing in determining who the driver of the vehicle was at the time of the pursuit. Scottsbluff Police were assisted by the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, Gering Police Department, and Nebraska Game and Parks Law Enforcement.
