Box Butte General Hospital is excited to announce a new addition to the Imaging Department! A new Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system from Siemens Healthineers, called the Magnetom Sola joins the team in providing technology and advanced diagnostic imaging for patients and providers. The Magnetom Sola’s unique and advanced technology is the only machine of its kind available in the Panhandle of Nebraska.
BBGH is proud to provide exceptional imaging services with this new piece of equipment. The benefits of the Magnetom Sola for patients include fewer rescans, shorter exam times, and increased comfort. Providers will be able to quickly see consistent, high-quality images because of the specialized, orthopedic coils.
Providers can refer patients to receive imaging for injuries, chronic health conditions, or routine health monitoring. Available MRI exams at BBGH include:
– Orthopedic (digits, hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, foot, etc.)
– Neurological (brain & spine)
– Abdomen
– Prostate
– Pelvis (uterine, cervical, ovarian, fibroids)
– Liver, kidney, other organs
– And more
BBGH Diagnostic Imaging Manager Leslie Hulquist says, ““My team and I are excited to be able to provide the best images to our patients and providers. The Magnetom Sola enhances the standard of care we strive to provide. Better images mean better, faster, and safer care. We’re grateful to provide this service to our friends and family in our community.”
The public is invited to join the Imaging team and the Alliance Chamber in a ‘Ribbon Cutting’ event for this new machine! Learn more about our MRI services on Wednesday May 28th from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Main Entrance of BBGH. Light refreshments will be provided and the BBGH Imaging staff will be available to answer questions and give a sneak peek of the machine.
BBGH Chief Operations Officer Gabe Behling said, “We are dedicated to investing in technologies that improve outcomes for our patients, and the addition of the Magnetom Sola ensures our community has access to the latest diagnostic tools, allowing us to provide the highest standard of care right here at home.”
