The search to fill the vacancy left by City Clerk Shelbi Pitt is over as the City Council has selected Ammie Bedient for the role.
The decision came at the recent Alliance City Council meeting last Tuesday. Bedient has served as the Interim City Clerk in the wake of Pitt’s leaving. She was one of three finalists for the position joining Sean Brenke and Stephanie Hahn, who were also interviewed by the City Council.
According to City Manager Seth Sorensen, Council Members offered the position to Brenke, but he turned down the position. Council met last Tuesday evening to discuss their options, deciding to offer the position to Bedient.
