Blomenkamp Sentenced in Child Porn Case Following Plea Agreement

Tanner Blomenkamp, the former manager at the Alliance Runza, has been sentenced following a plea agreement in March. Judge Travis O’Gorman sentenced Blomenkamp to a term of four to six years in prison for possession of child pornography, and two additional years for enticement by electronic device. The sentences will run consecutively.

Blomenkamp was originally charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography but entered a plea to avoid trial.

Key in the successful prosecution of this case was forensic evidence obtained from Mr. Blomenkamp’s cell phone. The Alliance Police Department is the only department in the western panhandle with the technology to perform forensic investigations on cell phones. Without this crucial evidence, this case could have ended differently, perhaps without any prison time. Sergeant David LaDuke and Officer Tyler Sherlock should be commended for their hard work, dedication and their pursuit of justice for the victim.
