Bombers End Winning Streak for White Team

Buckley scored fifteen runs on thirteen hits to down the Alliance junior White squad fifteen to three in baseball action on Friday. The loss ends the Spartan winning streak at fourteen. With the loss, the Peltz Co now has a fourteen and two record on the season. The contest was called after four innings due to the run rule. Three Spartans took the mound. They were starter Miguel Galvan and relievers Mikey Johnson and Kobe Strom. Alliance finished the game with five hits.

In the first, the Alliance offense went down quietly while the Bombers scored six to take a big lead. Chappell used a variety of ways to gain control. The inning began with a single and a triple as the Bombers went up one to zero. A walk and a passed ball then made the score two to zero. Buckley’s next three runs came on a home run. Two more Bomber hits plus a walk and a hit batter had the scoreboard reading Buckley six and Alliance zero after one complete inning.

Spartan Carver Nemnich had a double in the top of the second but the next three Alliance hitters failed to reach. Johnson in relief held the Bombers scoreless in the bottom of the inning and the battle went to the third with the Peltz Co down six to zero.

Inning three the Spartans got into the scoring column. Braeden Clarke was struck by a pitch and scored Alliance’s first run after a run scoring knock by Tony Escamilla. The Bombers had a run in the home half of the frame. Buckley increased their to seven to one thanks to a miscue by the Spartans and an RBI hit. The Peltz Co would put together their best inning offensively in the top of the fourth. Jaxson Esparza began things with a single and advanced after a walk by Jackson Smith. RBI hits by Garcia and Clarke then pulled the White club to within four at seven to three.

Eight Buckley tallies in their try in the bottom of the fourth ended the ball game. The Bombers used a pair of hit, a hit batter, and a passed ball to go eight to three. Two consecutive hits ensued that gave the Bombers a seven run cushion. The final five tallies came on two more Buckley knocks, an Alliance error, an RBI groundout, a pair of walks, and a fielders choice. Final was Chappell fifteen and Alliance three.
