Larry Bolinger, 507 Niobrara Ave, Alliance, NE 69301, presented his energy efficiency plan. No action taken. Burke moved to open SURPLUS REAL ESTATE PUBLIC HEARING at 9:40 a.m., seconded by Ditsch. Sautter, yes; Ditsch, yes; Burke, yes. Motion carried. County Attorney Curtiss discussed potential sale options of either the sealed bid process or a Sheriff’s sale. Burke moved to close SURPLUS REAL ESTATE PUBLIC HEARING at 9:51 a.m., seconded by Sautter. Sautter, yes; Ditsch, yes; Burke, yes. Motion carried. Sautter moved to sell the listed surplus properties via sealed bid due March 28, 2025 by 11:30 a.m. to the Clerk’s office with action to be taken during the April 2, 2025 meeting, seconded by Ditsch. Burke moved to amend the Box Butte County Health Plan to be in compliance with the Children of Nebraska Hearing Aid Act to include the minimum coverage of up to $3,000.00 in hearing aids for individuals under age 19, seconded by Sautter. Colin with Fuller Construction conducted the February elevator progress meeting. Jerry Berggren and Leroy Svatora, Berggren Architects, attended via zoom. Burke moved to approve CCP#10 and CCP#12 to be signed on AIA forms and deny CCP#11, seconded by Ditsch. Sautter, yes; Ditsch, yes; Burke, yes. Motion carried. Road Superintendent Keegan provided a road and equipment report. Burke moved to allow Keegan to go out for bid for aggregate hauling, seconded by Sautter. Sautter, yes; Ditsch, yes; Burke, yes. Motion carried. Bids must be received in the Clerk’s office by February 27, 2025 by 3:30 p.m. with action to be taken during the March 5, 2025 meeting. Sautter moved to allow Keegan to go out for bid for armour coat application, seconded by Burke. Sautter, yes; Ditsch, yes; Burke, yes. Motion carried. Bids must be received in the Clerk’s office by February 27, 2025 by 3:40 p.m. with action to be taken during the March 5, 2025 meeting. Burke moved to have MC Schaff put the CR71 culvert project out to bid and be the acting project manager, seconded by Sautter. Sautter, yes; Ditsch, yes; Burke, yes. Motion carried. Burke moved to approve Pipe Works Plumbing Estimate 16114 in the amount of $15,722.80, seconded by Ditsch. Sautter, yes; Ditsch, yes; Burke, yes. Motion carried. Final labor costs will be billed at time of job completion. With all agenda items addressed, Chairman Burke adjourned at 11:31 a.m.
