Our Boy Scout Troop held our bi-annual High Way Trash pick up event this past weekend. We picked up trash along Highway 2, on the east side of town from the east railroad overpass to a point two miles east on Highway 2, or approximately 1/4 mile east of the airport turnoff. We try to do this right before Memorial Day and right around Labor Day. Then the Nebraska Department of Roads will mow the right way. We had six Boy Scouts, one Webelo(soon to be a Boy Scout in our Troop), and five Parents. It took about three and a half hours to complete.
