On March 7, 2025 at 947 p.m. the Scottsbluff Police Department was notified that a male, Travis Buckley, was at Wal-Mart. Buckley had two outstanding Scotts Bluff warrants for his arrest.
The warrants were for Driving Under Suspicion (Class III Misdemeanor) and for Manufacture, Distribute, Deliver, Dispense, or Possess a Controlled Substance (Class II Felony).
Buckley was contacted and refused to provide his name to the officers. Buckley attempted to flee from the officers, but was taken into custody after a struggle.
Upon searching Buckley, a concealed 9mm handgun was recovered from his person. Buckley was charged with Obstruction of a Police Officer, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person, and Resisting arrest.
