Paced by a three gold medal performance by Eddie Red Nest the Alliance Bulldogs seventh grade squad finished first at the opening meet in Scottsbluff on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs netted 99.5 points which won the 5 team event. Torrington was second with 89 points. The Alliance 8th grade group also had a nice day tallying 91 points.
For the girl’s teams they were in Gering with both teams taking fourth overall. Red Nest took first in the boy’s 100, 200, and long jump. Alliance also got first placer finishes from Abel Moreno who won both 100 and 300 hurdle races.
The 8th grade team got first performance from Will Zurn who won the mile and Traysn Best who won the high jump. Taking home 2 firsts for the Bulldog seventh grade girl’s group was Myleigh Simmons who won both the pole vault and long jump. Regan Cornish was the Lady Bulldogs top placer in the 8th grade division, winning the shot put.
