Nine boys and 10 girl’s track teams competed Friday at the Pine Bluffs Early Hornet meet. Taking home first in the girls division was Chadron who tallied 135 points. The Cheyenne East boys won on the boy’s side with 250.5 points. Alliance ended with 40 points in the girl’s division which was good for 7th overall.
With 73 points, the Alliance boy’s finished in the third. Both teams had gold medal performers. Bulldog seniors Josie Sanders and Shyla Salcido took home first place medals. Sanders won the 300 hurdles while Salcido won the shot put. The Alliance boys were first in the 2 mile relay with the team consisting of Asher Saka, Devin Graham, Will Zurn, and Trevor Zurn. Also bringing home gold was Trevor Zurn in the 2 mile.
