The Bulldogs took on Gering in a home game this week for their season opener and played in a tournament over the weekend in Douglas, Wyo., where they had brought there record for the week to 4-3.
The Bulldog’s first game for the week was a home game against Gering on Aug. 25, where Gering took the win with a score of 3-1: 25-22, 25-17, 23-25, 25-17.
The Bulldogs then headed to Douglas on Aug. 26, where they played in a tournament with 12 other teams. The first day of the tournament they played in matches to see where they would be seeded. The Bulldogs went 3-0 and were put in the No. 1 seed spot, beating out Torrington, Newcastle and Glenrock. Shutting out each team 2-0.
On Aug. 27, the Bulldogs would take on Southeast, where they beat them two sets to zero. 25-22, 25-19. The Bulldogs advanced to their next game where they would take on the Big Horn Rams, losing two sets to zero. 23-25. 14-25, resulting in the Bulldogs’ first loss of the tournament. The Bulldogs would then take on the Burns Broncs, where they lost two sets to one. 25-20, 26-28, 10-15, being eliminated from the tournament and placing fourth overall.

Alliance 2, 3A Torrington 0: 25-12, 25-16.
Alliance 2, 3A Newcastle 0: 29-27, 25-16.
Alliance 2, 3A Glenrock 0: 25-8, 25-19.
