The Bulldogs hosted the Alliance Invite on April 21, where they claimed second out of six teams in division one, shooting a team score of 347.
It was a windy day to say at the least with the wind blowing 30 m.p.h. However, players found ways to adapt.
“It’s been tough to chip with the wind, anywhere from 150 in. It has been tough,” said Jayden McCracken.
McCracken is a player on the boys golf team who shot an 85 as he battled the wind at Sky View Golf Course. His teammate Seth Morrison, who came in right behind McCracken with a final score of 87, also had some things to say about the wind.
“It’s not great, it’s really hard to golf in. You either have to club up two strokes or club down two clubs. It’s not easy,” said Morrison.
The Bulldogs showed composure with nature being against them that day. Giving an impressive performance as a team.
“I was impressed with the resiliency our boys showed today. Their mental approach was so much better than earlier this week and that’s what we’re going to need going forward,” said Brandt Banzhaf.
The following are the results for the Alliance Boys Golf team:
Tayton Timbers – 89
Jayden McCracken – 86
Seth Morrison – 87
Isaac Weems – 90
Tristen Timbers – 85
Team Total: 347
