The Alliance Track and Field team headed to Sidney to compete in a Western Conference meet on April 29, where the Mens Varsity placed fourth out of six teams with 45 team points. The Womens Varsity placed fourth out of six teams with 82 team points.
Isaiah Martinez led the Mens Varsity with a double gold performance in Shot Put and Discus, with a throw of 50’0 in Shot Put and a throw of 144’7 in Discus.
The 4×800 Relay which consisted of Mario Rodriguez, Danny Steele, Aiden Hancock and Benjamin Cassatt-Reina earned third as a team with a time of 9:06.89a. Benjamin Cassatt-Reina went on to earn a second bronze medal in the Mens 3200 Meter with a time of 11:18.74a. Jonah Amill jumped his way to a third place finish in the triple jump with a length of 39’ 10.5.
The Womens 4×800 Relay led the Womens side of events with a time of 10:47.36a, where Haylie Winter, Mikayla Seebohm, Lilly Wagner and Macey Seebohm won the event earning the gold.
The 4×400 Relay, which consisted of Jaelynne Clarke, Riley Lawrence, Kenna Montes and Macey Seebohm, won silver medals with a time of 4:19.23a. The 4×100 Relay team also won silver medals, where Josie Sanders, Jaelynne Clarke, Amauri Browning and Kayel Lambert ran for a time of 52.60a.
Josie Sanders earned another silver medal in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 50.27a.
Mikayla Seebohm also earned another silver medal, where she ran for a time of 6:10.53a in the 1600 meter.
The Womens 400 meter had two women place in the top three. Jaelynne Clarke earned second with a time of 1:03.69a with teammate Riley Lawrence right behind her finishing third with a time of 1:03.71a.
