Carlos J. Patiño passed away on January 16, 2023 to be with his Lord and Savior. He was surrounded by his brother, sister and friend, after battling chemo and radiation treatment for throat cancer, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Carlos J. Patino was born to Frank and Helen Patino on November 22, 1958 in Alliance, Nebraska.
Carlos was a hardworking man who went above and beyond to ensure perfection in everything he did. He was a gifted mechanic, loved any vehicle on four wheels. Carlos retired from the California Department of Forestry in Riverside County. After retirement he visited his family and friends all over the continental United States, he discovered while visiting family and friends that he had a traveler’s spirit. He was a devoted brother and friend, he seized every opportunity to travel all over the United States going to 4X4 off road and RV Conventions always making new friends whenever he traveled. Meeting like-minded people that traveled from all over the world. It was a dream come true for Carlos, one he had had for many years. Carlos met Miriam Lasker on March 13, 1995, whom he later married. They retained a close companionship, friendship and love for one another for over 22 years and continued to be good friends.
Carlos was predeceased by his brother Robert Patino and John Duran; his father, Frank Patino, and his mother, Helen Patino. He is survived by his sisters: Oralia (Orie) McKee and Roselia Blakeman Patino; and his brothers: Eustolio Duran, Manuel and Kathy Duran, Froilon Patino and Terrie, and Efrain Patino, and many nieces and nephews. A graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held on June 30, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, NE-87, Alliance, Nebraska.
