Ashley Carr attended the 34th American Legion Junior Air Rifle National Championship at Hillsdale college in Hillsdale, Michigan. Shooting four 60 shot matches in two days in sporter air rifle, her total scores for each match were 563-27, 565-23, 564-23 and 560-22. She placed first in prone shooting a 789-57 breaking the previous prone record and placed first in standing shooting a 724-18 only three points from the record. After the 10 shot final, she placed second overall shooting an aggregate score of 2,333.5-95 the sixth highest recorded score in the American Legion’s history and received a $1,000 scholarship.
