The Central Park Fountain will not be operational for several days while repairs are being completed.
On the morning of July 16 City staff discovered that a cap in the equipment pit of the fountain had broken, which allowed water from the fountain basin to leak back into the controls area of the fountain. As a result of the leak, the electric components housed in that pit were damaged.
Staff anticipates repairs will take approximately 10-15 days and will get this fountain up and running as soon as possible.
