Eastern Wyoming College Announces the President’s, Dean’s Honor Rolls

Eastern Wyoming College is pleased to announce the honor rolls for the Spring 2023 semester. There were 111 students receiving recognition for achieving high scholastic grades.

The President’s Honor Roll recognizes students that are full time (12 or more credit hours) and achieve a 4.0 grade point average. To qualify for the Dean’s Honor Roll, students must also be full time and achieve a grade point average of 3.5, but less than 4.0.

Cord McBride, Jakob Callan and Shelby Carr, all of Alliance were named to the Dean’s Honor Roll. Abby Joles, of Bridgeport, was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll. Cailin Demeranville, Kyle Marsh and Alexia Ramirez, of Gering, were named to the Dean’s Honor Roll. Hayden Blumanthal and Destiny Hanson, of Hemingford, were named to the Dean’s Honor Roll. William Howell and Libbie Schaefer of Morrill, were named to the Dean’s Honor Roll. Shae Blanke, of Scottsbluff was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll.

Trace White, of Chadron and Justin Chasek, of Mitchell, were named to the President’s Honor Roll.

Eastern Wyoming College Announces Graduates

Eastern Wyoming College held the 74th annual commencement for candidates on May 12, 2023 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. There were 171 graduates. The area graduates from the Fall 2022, Spring 2023 and Summer 2023 semesters are:

Hayden Blumanthal, Jakob Callan, Shelby Carr and Philip Halstead, of Alliance, Tyson Morrell, of Arthur, Lorren Henkel, of Bayard, Kade Moore, of Chadron, Nicole Brown and Cailin Demeranville, of Gering, McKynna Deeds and Libbie Schaefer, of Kimball, Justin Chasek, of Mitchell, Elizabeth Douville, of Morrill, William Howell, Jackson Margheim, Lindsey Steyer and Parker Yost, of Scottsbluff, and Raina Hartwig, of Sidney.

Several from Panhandle to Receive Degrees from UNK

Graduate and undergraduate degrees will be conferred for 210 summer graduates at University of Nebraska at Kearney commencement exercises 10 a.m. Friday (Aug. 11) at UNK’s Health and Sports Center.

Among those from the Panhandle receiving degrees were:

Dalton: Kenneth Ernest, MATR Athletic Training

Harrison: Laura Kling, MAE Curriculum and Instruction

Lyman: Athena Tarin, MSE Clinical Mental Health Counseling
