Community Collaborators

We all have gifts and talents to share. That is why Community Collaborators are essential to the mission of Girl Scouting. One such collaborator is Steph Mantooth, owner of Steph’s Studio. For almost 30 years, Steph has shared her photography genius with Alliance and the surrounding area. Steph’s Studio was established in December of 1991, after Steph completed her coursework at the Denver Institute of Art.

She continued to challenge herself by connecting with brilliant mentors, traveling to photograph interesting events and pushing herself to research the trends in technology.

Steph’s love of photography started in her youth. She saved up enough money to buy the essentials to set up her own darkroom in the bathroom of her home. Her entrepreneurial spirit and sincere kindness make her a favorite of our Girl Scouts to work with and learn from. Over the past 10 years, Steph has supported Girl Scouts as an Artventure artist, motivational speaker, cookie sales supporter, and photographer at every Kick-off event we have. As our exclusive Kick-off photographer, she designs a custom background that relates to our annual theme. Our Scouts get to personalize each photo taken to align with their personality, by use of a green screen. How cool is that?

Another way Steph shows support is through the use of her beautiful renovated building. She welcomes the Girl Scout Advisory Group (GSAG) into her conference rooms with open arms every month. To show our thanks, the GSAG girls rolled up their sleeves in 2017 and helped with the renovation. That right there is the best way to show our thanks in a Girl Scout way. . . by giving our time to someone who makes our world a better place. Thank you, Steph! You are one in a million.

You can find Steph at her Studio at 210 Box Butte Avenue!
