Happy Wednesday everyone, I hope you all are staying warm. We competed in our CDE’s on Feb. 3 and several of our teams found success at this competition.
Ag Mechanics (learn how to do wiring, engine maintenance, and technology systems) received first place taking home the District Champion title. Farm and Agribusiness Management (we take a written tests on assets, liabilities, calculate the amount of animal and their finishing weight to see how much feed they need to consume) also received first taking home the title of District Champion.
Food Science (smells and taste of aromas) earned a 12th place finish, and Vet Science (equipment and animal ID) also earned a 12th place finish.
We received results from the welding competition from back in January. The welding team received second place qualifying for state, Wyatt Walker placed second in ARC, Cord McBride placed second in O/A, Shelby Carr placed fifth in Tig, and Logan Thompson placed fifth in Mig.
