Competing in LDE’s

This past week we competed in our LDE’s (Leadership Development Events). The Ag Demo which was presented about a reproductive tract was District Champions and qualified for state.

Employment Skills (job interview) both that competed were District Champion and District runner up and are state qualified.

Senior Public Speaking (a topic in the ag industry) was third place. COOP Speaking ( what a coop is, how it operates, how it benefits the farmer) fourth place. Parli Pro Teams ( conducting chapter meetings) we had two teams one was fifth place and the other team got a red.

Our creed speaker (what our organization is about) received a blue ribbon. We saw a lot of success this last week, now we are preparing for our next contest which is in January, and is planned for the 6th but is subject to change.

Several of us helped with Santa’s Helpers on Sunday. It looked a little different this year, but we were still able to pick out gifts for the kids and their parents and wrap them. We were also grateful that we could help out our community in this way. I look forward to updating you on our next contests.

Happy Holidays, Rasine Bolek.
