Conference Golds Go to Bulldogs Zurn and Boyer

Weymouth Field in Sidney hosted the Western Conference high school track meet on Friday with 6 teams participating. In a clean sweep, it was the Sidney boys and girls taking home the team titles. The Red Raiders won the girl’s side with 134 points with Gering second with 107 points. Alliance was sixth with 33 points. Sidney scored 154 points in winning the boy’s division while Scottsbluff was second with 124 points. Scoring 94 points and ending fourth were the Alliance boys. The Bulldogs had a pair of champs in Trevor Zurn in the 800 and Payton Boyer in the triple jump. Alliance’s Asher Saka was second in both the mile and 2 mile events. Top scorer for the Lady Bulldogs was Josie Sanders who placed second in the 300 hurdles.
