The Alliance, Nebraska City Council met in a Regular Meeting on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. Present were Council Members McGhehey, Mashburn, Weisgerber and Turman.
Council acted on and/or discussed the following items of business:
1. Approved the Consent Calendar. Ayes: All. Motion carried.
2. Adopted Ordinance No. 3000, which approves the rezone of Tracts of Land in the Southeast Quarter of Section 34, Township 25 North, Range 48 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, Box Butte County, Nebraska, from Ag, Agriculture, to C-3, Heavy Commercial. Ayes: All. Motion carried.
3. Adopted Ordinance No. 3001, which approves the rezone of the West Half of Block 28, Original Town, Alliance, Box Butte County, Nebraska from M-2, Heavy Industrial District, to C-2, Central Business District. Ayes: All. Motion carried.
4. Passed the second reading of Ordinance No. 3002, which will add Section 2-53 to the Municipal Code adopting Code of Conduct for the City of Alliance Council. Ayes: All. Motion carried.
5. Mayor McGhehey disclosed the hiring to the public of Vice Mayor Mashburn’s daughter to work at Big Blue Bay as a seasonal employee. The position does not involve supervision by Council Member
