Danuel D. Mundt of Alliance passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at the Chadron Community Hospital. He was 71 years of age.
He was born May 7, 1953 to Christopher “Tope” and Emma Marie “Peggy” (Lucke) Mundt.
On June 30, 1973 in Sidney, NE he was united in marriage Linda Marie Nielsen. To this union 3 children, Danuel, Jr., Peggy and Samuel were born.
A lifelong resident of Alliance Dan worked for the Box Butte County Road Department and for a number of years for the City of Alliance. He was also engaged in the family farm and enjoyed working with area neighbors in operating their farms.
His survivors include his children, Danuel Mundt, Peggy (Kenny) Nepper and Samuel Mundt all of Alliance, his grandchildren, Nathan, Nevin, Neil, Nicole and Noah Nepper and Natasha, Christina, Hazel and Autumn Mundt. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia (Larry) Nicodemus of Gering and Sandra Loomis of Bridgeport, numerous nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law, Alice Nielsen of Kearney.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, his parents, his brother, Sam and his sister, Cheryl Loomis and his father-in-law, Ronald Nielsen.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Chapel with Pastor Russell Saito officiating. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery. The family will designate a memorial at a future date. Memorials may be sent in care of the family to 6733 Perkins Road, Lot 2, Alliance, NE 69301.
