Darlene K Daugherty (Bauer), 81 passed away on April 13, 2022 at her home in Alliance. She was born on April 1, 1941 to Adolph and Mary Bauer in Bayard, Nebraska.
Her early years were spent in Bayard until her family moved to Alliance in 1951. She graduated from Alliance High School in 1959.
Darlene spent her life farming and ranching while raising 3 children. She was involved in all activities that her children and grandchildren participated in. She loved to travel taking trips to Germany, Ireland and Hong Kong. Darlene never missed her weekly lunches with friends and her Friday hair appointments.
She is survived by daughter; Kari (Chris) Adams, son; Doug (Jackie) Daugherty, 5 grandchildren, her brothers: John Bauer, Bob (Susan) Bauer, Jerry Bauer, and Roger (Jill) Bauer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her dog Jessie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ronald, and daughter Janelle.
There will be visitation on Monday, April 18 from 1:00-7:00pm at Bates Gould Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Gideon Achi with burial following at the Alliance Cemetery.
The family would like to thank her grandson Dustin Daugherty, Hospice and Darla for all the great care and kindness shown to Darlene.
