Dobby’s Fall Festival is Saturday and Sunday, September 18-19 beginning at 10:00 am, and there is no charge to attend!
The two days of fun and mostly free activities include checking out the 27 historic buildings that make up Dobby’s Frontier Town. Guests can participate in Cowboy Fast Draw, old-time photos, wool spinning, sewing on a treadle machine, Dutch oven cooking, Cowboy Church, petting ponies, apple peeling, and kids crafts and games.
Local musicians will be sharing their talents on both Saturday and Sunday. Lunch will be served both days. Vendors will have items for sale. The Kandy Snap will have lots of homemade candy!
Dobby Lee wanted to save a vanishing piece of history before it was lost. He and his family and friends saved buildings from a bygone era and built or remodeled others. The 27 buildings that make up Dobby’s Frontier Town are each carefully filled with furnishings and artifacts from the early 20th century. Dobby’s goal was both preservation and education.
Dobby’s Frontier Town is located at 320 East 25th Street/Nance Road, Alliance, Nebraska.
