Success continued for the Alliance girl’s wrestling team with a super showing Saturday in Chadron. With 93 points, the Lady Bulldogs ended sixth overall. There were 22 teams competing. Taking first in the team race was Rapid City Stevens with 191.5 points while ending second was Sturgis Brown. Valentine was third with 154.5 tallies. Other school beside the top three and the Bulldogs were:
Rapid City Central, Scottsbluff, Chadron, Gordon/Rushville, Bridgeport, Lakota Tech, Belle Fourche, Douglas, Kimball, Ogallala, Hemingford, Paxton, Morrill, Garden County, Newell, Hay Springs, Little Wound, and Pine Ridge.
Alliance got a second place finish from Charlize Dorenbach who went 3 and 1 at 170. Alexis Solis at 105 was third, going 2 and 1 on the day. Overall, AHS had 6 athletes who ended in the top four.
