Duana Dugger Obituary

Duana Dugger, 90, of Alliance, Nebraska, passed away April 5, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born October 1, 1934, in Alliance, Nebraska. Duana is proceeded in death by her parents, George and LaVerne (Nason) Ditsch, husband Billie W. Dugger; son, David Dugger; four siblings; Don (Dee) Ditsch, Mae (Don) Hall, Lolita (Bill) Brinker and Suzie (Terri) Spangler.

Duana is survived by her sister, Kay (Bob) Reid, daughters; Lynda (Gene) Sedlacek, Susan (Tim) Snethen, Cyndy (Vance) Olson; sons Jeff (Tammy) Dugger, Mike (Lorlie) Dugger; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Duana enjoyed working with children and spent her days supporting and educating young children. She has taught at the Youth and Family Services, District 2, and Grandview Elementary School. She enjoyed gardening, traveling to Rapid City to go to the Central States Fair concerts with her family, playing cards up to the early hours of the morning and playing Bridge with her friends. Some of her hobbies included listening to Tim McGraw, crocheting doilies and afghans, reading, coloring pictures, and completing crossword puzzles. She cherished her family the most and was an inspiration to many. The family would like to thank the staff at Monument Health in Rapid City for the excellent quality of care given.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 16 from 1-4 p.m. at the Bates-Gould Funeral Home. A wake service will be at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Join us to celebrate Duana’s life and share stories at 7:00 PM.

The funeral will take place at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Alliance, Nebraska. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Following the services you are welcome to come back to the church to celebrate Duana’s life.
