Falicia Carolina Gomez, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023 at North Park Apartments in Alliance, NE. Memorial services will be held, Friday, December 29, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Scottsbluff. A celebration of life reception will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scottsbluff. Burial will be follow at the Alliance Cemetery on December 31 at 1:00 p.m.
Falicia attended DECALS at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemont, MN. She married Jose Antonio Gomez on January 5, 2008. They divorced in 2020. Falicia and Antonio shared 5 children, Maricella, Yessenia, Miguel, Natalia and Vanessa. Falicia raised two more children with Joshua Lane, Dominic and Irene. She is survived by her mother, Cheryl Murdock and her step-father, Joseph Murdock and his family and her grandmother, Carol Pritchard. She is also survived by her father, Arnulfo Ortega (Chello), Falicia’s biological father, Carmelo DeLaTorre (Yolanda), her siblings, Guadalupe Ortega, Jessica Ortega, Enrique Ortega, Melisa Ortega, Juan Ortega, Imelda Picket Pin, Lilia DeLaTorre. She is also survived by 14 aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
The Gomez, Murdock, Ortega, Pritchard and DeLaTorre families will accept donations to cover her memorial and funeral services through a GoFundMe page, set up by Falicia’s children.
