Faron Ray Schock was born March 4, 1972 to Lynn and Joe. He had three older siblings, Bill, Jerry and Jenny. He was married to Sheila who brought two wonderful children, Carissa and Jake, into the family. Then they had two other wonderful children, Brycen and Ava. Unfortunately, Brycen preceded him in death in November of 2020.
Faron graduated from Hemingford Public Schools in 1991. He loved wrestling, football and softball and was good at all of them. He placed at state in wrestling and volunteered time after he graduated to coach the kids. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for almost 30 years. Faron loved his job, his family, and his puppies. Not necessarily in that order.
Faron was passed away on June 20, 2024, in his home. Faron will be put to rest with his son Brycen at the City of Alliance Cemetery. The memorial service will be later in the year when the temperature calms down. If anyone wishes to give a memorial donation, please send it to the Alliance Volunteer Fire Department. In the meantime, lift up a beer and a piece of pizza in salute of a great man and reminisce about the time we spent with him: the good, the bad, and the ones you don’t brag about.
