Fast Start is Not Enough for Navy Team in Season Ending Loss to FCB

Stakes were high Monday for the Alliance Navy club at the B 6 district tournament in Holdrege. Their opponent, FCB from McCook, was undefeated and a loss by the Spartans would end their season. Alliance jumped to an early 3 to 0 lead but First Central Bank rallied with 9 straight scores and went on to post a 9 to 4 win. The Peltz Co ends their season with a 24-25-2 record. Alliance had a nice showing in the tourney, going 2 and 2. Pitching for the Navy nine was starter Jackson Devlin and relievers Teagan O’Gorman and Jayden Garcia. Alliance finished the contest with 5 hits.
