FFA with Roz: What I’ve Learned from FFA

Hello my name is Rasine Bolek and I am a junior at Alliance High School. I have been involved in 4-H for 10 years and FFA for three.

I began my journey in FFA when I was a freshman in high school. Alliance FFA meets the first Monday of every month in the high school library at 7:30 a.m.

Throughout the school year we compete in a variety of competitions. First we compete in LDE’s, which are our speaking events that are hosted in the fall. This year we will compete on Dec. 9.

In the spring we compete in CDE’s that are hands-on competitions. We have three of those competitions.

If you are interested in joining or have any questions please contact Ashtyn Vivion at 308-760-1854. The past three years I have found a lot of success through showing in FFA. I have had Champion Breeding Heifer, Champion Stocker Feeder, Champion Breeding Doe and Champion Market Goat. FFA has taught me so much from leadership, determination, patience and honesty.

Until next time—Rasine Bolek.
