History shows us that some wars have been fought with more than one front. It can really tax a country when they have to spread out their forces to different places.
Because of that big little word sin I think we have to battle sin in multiple fronts and the war gets tougher and more complicated if we think we are going to win the war ourselves. And the war even gets tougher yet when one does not see the root cause.
A rocket of pride might come over our head and land to close for comfort. A land mine of self confidence might be closer than we think. A missile of hatred might fly over our heads. A sniper of arrogance might have us in his cross hairs. Our dirty weapon might try to overcome us with inferiority. The sinful nature is in a big war, a big battle, one that is too big for us by all means.
Satan, the world, and even our own sinful nature are always trying to promote evil. Thank God that He is our supplier and gives us weapons to fight off evil so that we can promote love in a fallen world. God gives us His Holy Spirit, His Holy Word, His churches, His love and grace and forgiveness so that we are able to move forward in victory, all because He loves us dearly!
