Box Butte County Treasurer Valery Bell reminds residents the first half of the 2020 real estate taxes and personal property taxes are due April 30, 2021. Avoid delinquent interest charges by paying property tax bills on or before April 30, 2021. Office hours for the Treasurer’s Office are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Avoid long lines at the Treasurer’s Office by mailing tax receipts with check to the office: PO Box 655, Alliance, NE 69301, postmarked by April 30, 2021.
A dropbox on Sixth Street near the alley between Laramie and Box Butte Avenues may also be used. People are also encouraged to go to www.nebraskataxesonline.us on or before April 30, 2021.
Bell notes that Arbor Day is April 30, and that the office will be closed on that day.
