First Place Finish by Raymer Leads Lady Bulldogs to Team Title in Cozad

What a couple of day for the Alliance Girl’s Wrestling squad. Coach Madde Girard and her Bulldogs captured first Friday at their meet in Cozad. On Thursday, Alliance was second at the Chadron Invite. Both invitationals had Alliance’s Aiva Raymer coming home with the gold. The 145 pounder led Alliance to the team championship with 203 points. Broken Bow was the runner up with177 points. Sixteen schools competed. They included: Brady, Bridgeport, Broken Bow, Cozad, Elm Creek, Hastings, Hershey, Holdrege, Kenesaw, Kimball, Lexington, Paxton, Platteview, Sargent, Sidney, and St. Paul.

Alliance had 11 wrestlers placing in the top four. Besides the gold from Raymer, the Dogs got silver medals from Pearl Mayhew, Graci Beal, and Dawsyn Higgins.
