Hastings College hosted its 59th Annual Honor Band and 51st Annual Honor Choir concert on Monday, January 23, at 5:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Hastings.
The Hastings College Honor Band and Choir (HHBC) festival is the longest-running high school music honor ensembles sponsored by a college in Nebraska and features some of the best high school musical talent throughout the region. This year, students selected come from 40 high schools in Nebraska, plus one in Colorado and another in South Dakota.
The honor band is directed by Dr. Louie Eckhardt, director of bands at Hastings College, while the choir is directed by Brett Epperson, director of choral activities at Hastings College.
Annaka Digmann, Ariale Hindman and Ayvrie Waldron, of Alliance, were selected for the Honor Choir and Landyn Branstiter, of Alliance, was selected for the Honor Band.
