Gayle D. Tiensvold, 69, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Box Butte General Hospital.
He was born in Rushville, NE on October 6, 1952 to Richard and Fauvette (Brownlow) Tiensvold.
On August 22, 1971 he was united in marriage to Sharon M. Johnson in Libby, Montana.
On June 8, 1972 he entered active duty with the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the military April 30, 1995. During this time he served in a variety of place including Germany. Gayle worked as an Aerospace Propulsion specialist maintaining jet engines. Following his retirement from USAF he began employment with Burlington Northern Railroad retiring in 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, his son and daughter-in-law, David and Wendy Tiensvold of Arizona, and his grandchildren, Jonas and Jase. He is also survived by his brothers, Todd (Stacy) Tiensvold of Douglas, WY, Blake (Carrie) Tiensvold of Winnemucca, NV and Paul (Karen) Tiensvold of Reno, NV. His parents and his brother, Tom, preceded him in death.
A private family service will be held with interment at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery.
