I joined the Alliance Police Department in 2019 after which I attended the Nebraska Law Enforcement Training Centers’ basic training course. The basic law enforcement course is 15 weeks long and covers a variety of topics. I graduated from this course in August of 2019 and came back to Alliance where I entered into the Alliance Police Department’s field training program.
During my time in the field training program, I was able to take the various skills taught to me at the training center and apply them in real-life situations. I am appreciative of the department’s field training program because it helps in adjusting from theoretical concepts to actual application. While in this program I was able to also benefit from the experiences of my field training officer. After successful completion of the field training program, I proceeded into my position as a solo officer serving the citizens of Alliance.
I have now been an officer for approximately two years and am deeply appreciative of the opportunity to serve the community of Alliance. I hope to be able to continue serving in my current capacity as well as in new and expanded roles as opportunities present themselves.
