I think many people have allergies. Some are simply sneezing and maybe a runny nose and there are some that can lead to more dangerous side affects.
I read once where an allergy is the body attacking something that it thinks is dangerous to the body but not really. We take our allergies pretty serious and try hard to stay away from whatever. Our hearts are quite a different matter, there is something seriously wrong with our hearts but we can and do ignore them. Our hearts are full of sin and evil and that is what leads to death.
Even in our everyday life it leads to discontent, blame, hatred, discord and the like. We should take serious what is in our hearts, for it is real, it even wants to control us. God overcame our hearts, He gave us the medication we need to overcome our hearts.
He gave us repentance and forgiveness and a life of faith and love so that we would be overcomers. You might not feel like an overcomer but if you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and have asked for forgiveness, you are an overcomer, all because He loves you!
