Autumn Hanzes recently joined the staff at the Alliance Times-Herald working as an advertising consultant.
Hanzes, who also owns Natural Crafts and Healing, began working part time in April. Already, she has made contact with several business owners to discuss marketing opportunities.
Hanzes was born in Alliance, though she has moved around throughout her life. She explained that in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and being out in nature.
“My passions are collecting rocks and selling them,” said Hanzes. “I like making jewelry and all kinds of crafts. I enjoy natural, holistic healing, and caring for people.”
One of the things Hanzes is most excited about joining the Alliance Times-Herald is taking part in its growth.
“It’s doing really well,” Hanzes said. “It feels like we’re all a team, and a family. I’m enjoying being out of my element to do this. I never thought I would be working at a newspaper, but I’m glad that I am.”
Hanzes enjoys finding beautiful locations in nature. She said two of her favorite places to visit are Cascade Falls near Hot Springs, S.D. and Smith Falls near Valentine.
“Someday, I’d like to see all of the waterfalls that I can,” said Hanzes.
People are invited to stop by the Alliance Times-Herald to meet Hanzes, or to visit her at Natural Crafts and Healing, located at 114 E 4th Street in Alliance.
