Harold Becker, 95, of Alliance, NE, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Regional West Hospital in Scottsbluff.
Harold was born on January 13, 1928, to Dave and Eva Becker. He attended schools in the Scottsbluff area, and then joined the Navy. After discharge, he married Esther Reichert, and they had three children: Larry, Linda and Barbara.
Harold and his family farmed south of Hemingford, before retiring to nearby Alliance. He enjoyed rodeos and old westerns on TV. The Alliance Senior Center provided hours of companionship as well as daily nourishment.
Harold is survived by his son, Larry, of Alliance, and daughter, Linda, of Greeley, CO. Linda and Arlin Sample parented his two grandchildren: Ivy (Brian) Shelmadine and Cory (Kara) Sample. The five great grandchildren are Jackson, Alexis, Arya and Mia Shelmadine of Alliance, and Kadence Sample of Greeley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, wife Esther, and daughter Barbara.
